The 5th Smart China Expo officially opened in Chongqing on 22 August 2022. Minister for Communications and Information Josephine Teo delivered virtual remarks, sharing on Singapore's smart city experience as well as prospects for cooperation via the Singapore-China (Chongqing) International Dedicated Connectivity. Singapore is one of the co-organisers for this year's Smart China Expo. A total of 56 Singaporean enterprises participated in the exhibition this year, nine of which participated offline.
